The CW aveva rinnovato in anticipo la quarta stagione del drama con protagonisti Kristin Kreuk e Jay Ryan, mesi prima che la ridotta terza stagione andasse in onda questa estate. E anche se la serie non ha mai ottenuto grandi ascolti, la stagione più recente ha avuto una media di soli 879.000 spettatori, un calo drastico rispetto alla media di 1.610.000 della stagione 1.
L’ultima stagione di Beauty and the Beast andrà in onda nel 2016.
