Buona domenica e ben ritrovati come sempre con Quotes of the Week! L’afa si fa sentire sempre di più, il sole è sempre più insopportabile (anche se al momento in cui scrivo sta in realtà grandinando, tuonando, lampeggiando… mi sa che Zeus è molto, molto, mooooolto arrabbiato!), e insomma… ventilatore a palla, letto, computer e passiamo le nostre giornate a guardare serie TV, giusto per non sbagliare mai!
Quest’oggi partiamo dalla 1×08 di Salem, Departures, che si può dire abbia avuto come centro Cotton, che non è poi un personaggio così malvagio.
Alden: You’re drinking early this day.
Cotton: If you knew my father, you’d commend me for waiting this long.Alden: Iniziate a bere presto oggi.
Cotton: Se conosceste mio padre, vi elogereste per aver aspettato così tanto.
È stato messo l’accento sull’amicizia fra Cotton e Alden.
Cotton: You’re right. No man should be asked to humble himself before my father. I have been in Salem for months. I’ve made allies and enemies in scores, but the closest thing that I have come to a friend is you. So I ask you, I beg you to appeal to my father, if there is some small part of you who can call me a friend, too.
Cotton: Avete ragione. A nessuno dovrebbe essere chiesto di umiliarsi di fronte a mio padre. Sono a Salem da mesi ormai. Mi sono fatto alleati e nemici a bizzeffe, ma la cosa più vicina a un amico che ho, siete voi. Quindi vi chiedo, vi supplico di appellarvi a mio padre, se c’è anche solo una piccola parte di voi che può considerarmi a sua volta un amico.
E anche sul rapporto e le differenze fra padre e figlio.

Abbiamo visto il confronto Vincent/Gabe (gooo Gabe!).

Però una volta di più c’è da ammettere che Vincent e Cat sono teneri.

Vincent: Still, it’s no future and I think we deserve a future.

Nella 4×09 di Awkward, My Personal Statement, finalmente capiamo che razza di persona sia Eva.
