The Good Wife ha vinto il premio per Miglior Drama ai Television Critics Association Awards 2014, battendo Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Americans e House of Cards.
Breaking Bad, tuttavia, non è rimasto a mani vuote; la TCA ha conferito allo show il premio per Programma dell’anno (ed è il secondo anno consecutivo che BB si aggiudica la vittoria).
True Detective ha ottenuto due premi, uno per miglior film/miniserie e l’altro per Miglior Performance in un Drama, andato al protagonista Matthew McConaughey. Anche Veep ne ha vinti due, uno per Miglior Comedy (a pari merito con Louie) e per Miglior Performance in una Comedy (portato a casa da Julia Louis-Dreyfus).
Con grande sorpresa di tutti, Drag Race di RuPaul ha battuto The Amazing Race, Shark Tank, Survivor e The Voice nella categoria Miglior Reality.
